What This Website Policy Covers

This Website & Cookie Policy explains how FACEIO, PixLab | Symisc Systems, and service providers process information when you visit public FACEIO websites, documentation pages, help pages, marketing pages, policy pages, and related website properties. We apply a data-minimization approach: collect only what is reasonably needed to deliver, secure, measure, and improve the public website experience.

This policy does not cover the FACEIO facial authentication Service, fio.js, embedded widgets, REST APIs, webhooks, ID Match flows, biometric processing, customer application data, or application-user data. Those topics are handled in the Services Privacy Policy and Services Terms of Service.

If you create or manage a FACEIO application in the FACEIO Console ↗, account and service-related processing is governed by the Services Privacy Policy. PixLab-owned services and websites may also be governed by the PixLab Privacy Policy ↗.

• Contact details: name, email address, company, role, country, message content, and any files or technical details you choose to send through website contact paths.
• Support and community links: if you open a support request, join the community forum, or contact us from a website link, the information you submit is processed to respond to your request and may also be governed by the destination service policy.
• Newsletter or update requests: if you subscribe to product updates, developer announcements, or similar communications, we process your email address and preferences to send those communications and manage unsubscribe requests.
• Feedback: if you submit website feedback, documentation corrections, or suggestions, we may process that information to improve our websites and documentation.

When you visit FACEIO websites, we may process limited technical information needed to deliver, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the site.

• IP address, approximate region derived from IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, language, referring page, pages visited, timestamps, and request metadata.
• Security and abuse-prevention signals such as bot-detection events, firewall events, rate-limit events, and server logs.
• Diagnostic information such as page errors, performance timing, broken-link events, and aggregate usage patterns used to maintain website reliability.

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, server logs, and security tokens. FACEIO websites are intended to use these technologies for security, routing, preferences, diagnostics, and privacy-respecting measurement.

• Strictly necessary cookies: required for website delivery, security, bot mitigation, load balancing, session continuity, form protection, and network performance. This may include essential Cloudflare security and performance cookies where Cloudflare is used.
• Preference cookies: used only where needed to remember choices such as theme, language, or similar site preferences.
• Analytics or measurement: if enabled, analytics are used to understand aggregate website performance and documentation usage. We do not use analytics to identify end users of customer applications or to process biometric data.
• No advertising cookies: we do not use FACEIO website cookies to sell personal information, share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or track visitors across third-party sites. If we introduce optional advertising, targeting, or non-essential analytics cookies, we will update this policy and provide any consent or opt-out mechanism required by law before those cookies are activated.
• Cookie controls: you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Some security, routing, or session features may not work correctly if strictly necessary cookies are blocked.

Where Cloudflare is used, strictly necessary security cookies may include __cf_bm for bot mitigation, cf_clearance for successful security challenges, and __cfruid for rate limiting and DDoS protection. These cookies are used for website security and availability, not advertising.

• Operate, deliver, maintain, secure, monitor, and troubleshoot FACEIO websites.
• Respond to messages, support requests, documentation feedback, legal requests, and privacy inquiries.
• Understand aggregate website performance, documentation usage, page reliability, and security events.
• Prevent abuse, detect automated traffic, protect against fraud, investigate incidents, enforce policies, and comply with legal obligations.
• Send requested communications and manage unsubscribe or preference requests.

We do not sell website visitor personal information. We do not share website visitor personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

• Service providers: hosting, CDN, security, logging, analytics, email, support, and infrastructure providers that help us operate and protect the websites under confidentiality and security obligations.
• Legal and safety: authorities, courts, advisors, or affected parties where required or appropriate to comply with law, protect rights, investigate abuse, enforce policies, or preserve website security.
• Business transfers: a successor or relevant party in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, asset sale, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law.
• Links and third-party sites: if you follow a link to the FACEIO Console, community forum, PixLab properties, social media, or another third-party site, that destination may process data under its own policy.

Website information may be processed in countries other than where you live, including countries where FACEIO, PixLab | Symisc Systems, hosting providers, CDN providers, security providers, or support providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

• Browser controls: you can block or delete cookies using your browser settings. Some security and site-delivery functions may require strictly necessary cookies.
• Global Privacy Control: where required by law and technically feasible, we treat Global Privacy Control signals as requests to opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not currently use FACEIO website cookies for those purposes.
• Do Not Track: there is no consistent industry standard for browser Do Not Track signals. We respond to legally recognized signals where required.
• Email communications: you can unsubscribe from optional emails using the link in the message. Transactional, legal, security, and support messages may still be sent where appropriate.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, withdraw consent, receive a portable copy, or opt out of certain processing. These rights may be subject to legal limits.

We retain website visitor, contact, security, diagnostic, and operational information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the websites, respond to requests, maintain security, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support legitimate business purposes. Security logs and diagnostic records may be retained for incident investigation and abuse prevention. Contact requests may be retained for support history and legal compliance.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate for public websites, including access controls, logging, security monitoring, bot mitigation, CDN protections, and operational controls. No website or network can be guaranteed to be fully secure.
